The wine-red finish is perhaps my favorite looking Storm Series guitar. Shown below is a Deluxe Thunderhead model with vibrato tailpiece. The maple and spruce body is beautifully figured and treated in a semi-transparent finish. The color is actually quite a bit more red than it looks in these pictures. There are no finish cracks or any signs of age at all on this 37 year old guitar. Hardware consists of gold Schaller tuners and 6-way adjustable bridge. The electronics are the standard Thunderhead setup with twin DeArmond gold pickups, master volume, twin tone controls and a pickup blend control. The 3-way toggle controls in and out of phase selection for the pickups. Perhaps the best part of this Thunderhead is the wonderfully fast neck bound in white ivoroid and adorned with diamond shaped inlays. This is the finest condition Thunderhead in my entire collection.
